To get there, reclimb the ladder at the entrance to the upper walkway, then cross the gap using the red bricks on the right. Follow him through town to the far home, where you'll complete the chapter. Drop to the floor to discover a rope. With the bridge destroyed, run toward the camera and hop through the opening into the house. When it pulls ahead, wait until the vehicles bump into one another, leap leap to that one. Grab his ammo then continue through the wreckage ahead to a closed door you can bust through. From the get-go, follow the yellow railing around to the left and climb up the backside of the train car. Now return to the ground-floor (via the stairs) and climb up the joint blades. At the top, sidle along a couple more to the left and leap to the nearby sign post--descend it to ground level. Head left to it and reposition it so the light shines into the base of the green hanging chandelier-thing on the right. Take cover by the low wall (where the three guards were) and target the beyond, including on a balcony to the right. Descend the staircase and follow the path, leading into the base of the Tree of Life. Oh, another puzzle? Before taking either path, check each corridor and take down three enemies before proceeding--one of whom is shielded (try to sneak up behind him from either side for an easy kill). For this first area, don't bother trying to find the enemies. Follow the path--taking down a few enemies along the way--up to a split path. Any normal person would have called it quits after their last treasure hunt lead them to an encounter with mutated humans and countless near death experiences. Trail her up the street to a ladder you can fling her too, which she'll subsequently lower. Your first priority should be to take down the distant snipers as well as the machine gunner below--we recommend throwing all of your grenades at him, then finishing him off with gun fire. Move up to the cart just ahead and push it to the far side of the bridge. From the roof, leap to another ahead and seek cover behind either of the low walls to target some enemies on he rooftop ahead, as well as several more ahead. Finally, look for the fourth on the front side (slightly to the left) of the wooden platform ahead, just below where all the enemies spawned from. You'll wind up in a vast and beautiful area containing some ruins. Follow it to a ladder through the doorway that can be climbed up to the water tower. As soon as you hit it with one, the helicopter will veer to the side--this is your cue to leave. Scurry along the bar and quickly leap leap to the ledges above for shelter from the passing signals, before dropping back down and continuing along the pipe to the other side. The REAL improvement for this game is how they're doing the motion capture. Head down the hall to a mostly-destroyed room. From there, leap to a roof below. After climbing the train, Drake will stumble upon the dagger--with the enemies hot on his tail! Now take cover behind either of the nearby walls and shoot the visible enemies, such as in the house to the lower-right, as well as to the left. While your friend works on getting the door open, take cover on the right side, so that you're ready to target a shotgun-toting baddie inside. This time, look out the window on the right to target the inbound foes, but be aware that more will be coming from the left as well. Now continue battling the creatures until the platform drops just in front of you--leap to it as soon as you can to being your ascent out of this room. After the helicopter passes, you'll notice an enemy stationed just across from you--take him out with a head shot. It too will bend under your weight as you near the top--quickly leap to the door that opens on the left, forming a ledge. After landing, quickly seek cover behind the low wall to target a few more enemies. After inflicting enough damage, the creature will swap your weapon away, but thankfully your friend will come to the rescue! Remain here until you notice an enemy ahead sit down on the log--sneak up behind him, take cover by the log, them perform a stealth takedown (be sure to grab his dropped gun too). Just continue forward to complete the chapter. You'll have to maneuver each into the same position as shown in the picture inside Drake's journal. After the cutscene, you'll be teamed up with your good friend again. After leaping to the train, move left and climb through the window. Once Chloe shines some light onto it, reposition it so the light is cast into the base of the green chandilier again, which will activate another nearby statue face. Inside the museum, grab the treasure listed above before clambering over the green pipe ahead and tossing your partner up to the ladder. Sneak up on the first guard looking over the railing for a stealth kill. We were worried about you! Now a whole mess-ton of enemies are going to storm in. Luckily, there are some rocket launchers nearby that'll make short work of them. What? If you need ammo at any point, the adjacent corridor houses several weapons and grenades. Now push forward to a rocky wall that you can clamber up and follow the trail to a ledge you can drop off. Now they're recording the motion capture and dialogue at the same time, so things will be even better! After clearing the area, climb a blue pipe just right of the machine gun and climb through the window at the top. After the grenade tutorial, we suggest taking cover on the right side of the doorway (just left of where you started) and using this position to open fire on the inbound enemies. Climb up it and grab hold of the yellow ridges to the right, and follow them up to another junction box you can interact with to disable the security (don't worry about the guard on the nearby balcony). After the boulders block you in, climb the ridges ahead and follow the wall (jumping when necessary) to a section you can climb. To reach it, climb the stairs where the two guards came through the door, and leap from the right-most edge of the balcony to an awning. Two guards will soon begin patrolling the area--stealth kill the one that sits down on that same box just after the far one turns away--immediately after, take cover behind the box just ahead (on the left) and wait for the second guard to approach for another stealth kill. With the cars in place, follow your teammates lead, using the cars as stepping stones to cross the river and climb a far ladder. Two enemies packing the game's strongest weapon, the GAU-19, are below. Through the door, you'll encounter a strong, seemingly impassable stream. As you begin your brick-trek, a guard will enter through a door below--take aim and tranq him! Drop to the platform before the next train car and follow the yellow pipe around to the ride, alongside the length of the container. After the floor falls out, drop down and climb up to the bookshelf in the corner via the blue box. Look for some bricks in the corner, just to the left (at the top of the newly formed ramp) that you can climb. After riding the vertical cog, you'll spot a large spinning wheel-type thing blocking the path. Take cover inside the doorway and wait for the helicopter to stop firing--as soon as it does, step out and fire a rocket at the chopper. It also includes a walk-through for the story mode of Uncharted 2. Just keep on the move and run away--jumping if you have to--to distance yourself from where they land. Toss Chloe up--she'll return the favor by dropping a box you can use to reach the ladder. Try to avoid running too close to them and especially avoid lingering next to one. When clear, hurry into the green, open-air, car ahead and grab the rocket launcher on the left. Make sure to aim for the snipers first, as they offer the biggest headache. Sneak up behind him for a stealth takedown, then quickly head left inside to stealth kill another. Use your pistol to pick off the enemy on the right ledge, followed by the one in the shack ahead. Although there are six symbols displayed in your book, you can ignore the black and blue ones, as they don't correspond to anything. Once at the rope, use it to swing to some more moss-covered stones on the left, then climb them up to a pole you can leap to. Follow it to a gap where you can leap to a second, then jump to the suspended column to the top of the structure ahead. If the enemies get too close for comfort, try retreating around the backside of the staircase. Note: Play up to Day 10 for free (in-game day). After dropping to the lower level, jump to the nearby platform to find a rope you can toss to Elena. Now leap to where he was and clamber to the ground below, either via the blue pipe, or leaping to the nearby signs. With the room clear, climb the stairs up to the doorway the hunters came from, and continue up a long series of staircases to where your treasure awaits. The hero must cross the village, killing regular enemies he encounters. Sneak up behind the first guard, who's looking at the table, and take him down quietly. Before long, regardless of whether you've killed any of them or not, the chapter will end. Periodically, after inflicting enough damage, Lazarevic will wince in pain and grow more aggravated. Keep an eye out for a couple of scattered bright-red generators--shooting these causes a massive explosion, taking out any nearby baddies. If he tosses a grenade, quickly back into the entrance of the car, taking cover by the door until it explodes, before returning to your seat. As soon as you regain control, sneak up on the soldier who just walked past and stealth kill him. You can now incapacitate multiple foes at … But look closer--see that car surrounded by a pile of junk midstream? Before jumping to the roof of the next train car, take down an enemy there, as well as another below, just inside the carriage. Leap to the seat within, then to another on the left. Just keep running toward the camera, jumping periodically, to make your escape! Quickly seek cover--any cover that puts something between you and the chopper--for protection from its fire. A short ways into the forest area, you'll encounter a weird blue substance growing on some trees. Follow it up, then left to a second pole you can ascend. Follow the wall left to a wheel you can ride to a walkway below. Great, another security system's protecting the gate. If they do attack, you can bat them off by tapping the buttons show on-screen. To do so, climb up the stones along the left wall to reach the yellow strip, which you can sidle along to the chain, thus opening the door. Once you've cleared the ruins of the enemies' presence, return to the closed door. Continue along to the far edge and leap to the nearby wooden platform. 10 years ago Apparently gaining super-human strength, that's what! Continue through the same corridor leading out of the underground temple, back into the main room. Quickly run along the path to a stairwell, leading into a house at the top. At any rate, simply dart down the exposed hallway up to a gate that slams shut--very right into an adjacent entranceway and continue down the stairs to a window you can jump through (again, ignore the guards along the way). Remain here until the enemy on the left turns around, then sneak up behind him for another silent kill. Now clamber inside the open window. You can also jump over to that location to find additional rockets at the top of the stairs, should you need them. You may also want to consider grabbing the dropped grenade launcher to help clear out the remainders. When looking at the various aspects of the Uncharted games, gameplay isn’t exactly the strongest element of the series. When close, hop to the statue's eye then up to its eyebrow, which is actually a switch. For this one, it's best to consult your journal (or the pictures of it below). They'll now boast peripheral vision, meaning if they catch you out of the corner of their eye, they won't instantly start firing. Once you've everyone except the gunner, climb up the wall on the left (via a blue ledge) to a walkway just left of the gunner. Try and attack him while running away, but feel free to take a moment to aim for him whenever you've put some space between the two of you. From here, you can target the enemies ahead, and perhaps even the machine gunner if he reveals himself. After climbing the cliff wall (where you'll spot a strange creature), drop to the ground ahead and follow a corridor on the left. Now clamber to the top of the train, then to the train car above. When at the locked door, turn around to find a column on the left with some red-grip points--you can reach them via the walkway leading to it. Time your melee attacks and counters to push him behind you, then quickly dart to the other side of the car and take cover behind another seat there. Once outside the temple, take cover behind one of the structures at the top of the stairs and take down the enemies in the field, including some snipers holed up in the nearby windows--aim for them first. After pulling yourself up, follow the path up and climb up into the building, and follow it to the far room. Subsequently, follow the fence to a pair of stairwells. After climbing down the ladder, proceed into the ice tunnel and throw a couple of small gaps, up to a ledge. Interact with the top-left hand here to knock it into its proper position. Climb the bricks to you left to a red wooden beam you can sidle along to a walkway. Chock full of all the action, adventure, cinematic story elements and beautiful graphics that set the first game apart, Uncharted 2: … Continue through the building to a large hole in the wall. With the tower cleared, toss Elena up to a ladder within and follow her up when she kicks it down to you. Climb down the stairs to a mirror--grab hold and reflect the light into the forehead of the statue ahead. Now follow the bricks just right of the pole around the corner, then leap across a couple more signs to an open window you can climb inside. After it crashes, you'll regain control of Drake. All well and good, but what we really want to know is: are we shooting at humans this time? After Nate frees himself from the elevator, he'll have to locate the circuit breaker. However, the mid-right arm is already in the correct position (so don't touch it! As you proceed up the street, watch out for two enemies on the left, as well as several more ahead. Oh, and you can't take cover either! If it runs out of ammo, take cover by the adjacent sandbags and target whoever's left. Just past the door is a seemingly impassable span…but not for Nathan! Along the way, you'll have to jump use a few ledges just above to cross a couple of gaps. They were already ahead of the game with the original since the voice actors were also the motion capture actors so the scenes and animations flowed MUCH better with the action. At the halfway point, the bridge will collapse, leaving Nate hanging on for dear life. Wait for the gap in its spokes, then jump through. Once there, ignore the enemies and dash up the staircase across the street, then across the red bridge. Pulling it will cause a platform to slowly lower from the ceiling--wait here for it (by the lever). Now as you heard toward the next one, a cutscene shows numerous enemies heading your way. As run dash across the roof, you likely won't be able to make it before the next signal--quickly drop off and hang onto either side of the train car to let it pass, before continuing on to a train car containing a tank. Now turn your attention to the ones on the walkway above. With the room cleared, clamber up the back wall to an opening above and drop through the hole inside. Email news@gamespot.com, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - (Spoiler) Nathan Drake vs. Lazarevic Gameplay Movie. When clear, climb the ladder in the back to the upper floor, then leap to the roof through the hole in the ceiling. Drop down a couple of snow-covered ledges, then sidle along the wall to a walkway. With the area cleared, Elena will join you on that same platform--toss her to a ladder above and follow her up when she kicks down the remainder. Hurry up and jump along the platforms until you reach one that collapses underneath your weight. All refreshed? Following the cutscene, follow Chloe out the way you came, make a right, and follow her up the column she climbs to escape this place…and into the hands of your enemy. Now get your butt in gear and hightail it out the rear side before the train falls off completely! At the top, leap to a ledge opposite Drake, then catch Elena as she jumps across herself. Once things quiet down, a truck will roll in and unleash two machine-gun toting baddies. In addition, keep your grenades at the ready for groups of inbound enemies. Along the way, you'll want to take cover inside each one and target as many enemies in the nearby vehicles as you can--try taking out the drivers in the open-air jeeps to take the whole lot down. Having cleared the courtyard, open the door on the opposite side by turning the wheel. You want to match the color of the creature (listed below) with that of the shape of the same color. Take cover by the entrance of the next train car to target the enemies inside, before heading through and leaping to the next train car, where you should do the exact same thing. Though the path splits before them, we suggest sticking to the one Sully takes, on the left, and waiting by him inside the swampy alcove. Good--leap from the platform's short beam to a rope ahead, then swing from there to the wall ahead. Drake's sewer spelunking? …well, not for long! However, your journey out of here will be threatened by an over-eager creature who'll grab onto Nate's leg--shoot him fast to knock him off and complete the chapter. Also, be cautious of a shield equipped enemy who'll attack as well. Wait here a moment for a guard to climb the far ladder, up to the broken platform. With the key inserted, the pool's water willd rain revealing an entranceway. Players control Chloe Frazer—a treasure hunter who is physically adept and is able to jump, sprint, climb, swim, swing and perform other acrobatic actions. Now use a series of wooden poles sticking from the wall to cross to the other side. Except this time, you'll have to dodge several signal lights coming up alongside the train! Uncharted 2 is a sequel, so things are being tweaked, things are being added, things are being improved. Well, no matter, you have bigger issues to worry now, such as the myriad of guards gunning for you! If they see you, then lose you, they'll head to where they saw you last and start searching from there. Now wait for him to setup another rope and use it to cross the chasm. Use these tactics to defeat the four enemies in the pit before climbing the rope Sully tosses you. Exit out the other side. If, however, you're waiting by a sac at the end of a long-stretch, try and seek cover nearby to evade Lazarevic's blast, while he gets close enough to the sac before detonating it. Your goal is to lead him from sac to sac (it doesn't matter in what order, plus they respawn in short order) and then shoot it as he passes by, detonating it for massive damage. There Drake will notice that he's seen something like this before--tap "select" to consult his journal, which sure enough, contains some information about what to do…but who needs a journal when you've got us, right? Proceed through the house back outside, continue down the stairs, then drop off the rail-less section of the balcony. Head to it on the left and insert your key once more to drop the final blade, revealing an entrance inside the mouth of the statue on the floor. Once you've killed him, take control of the turret and use it to clear out a few more enemies who'll attack, mostly from the right. At the top, cross the final raised blade--it'll fall apart as you try to do so. Head left and take a zipline down to the train yard. Follow them, swinging when necessary, around the building to a ledge just below an enemy--pull him off before pulling yourself up. Now quickly jump over and take cover by the right column, as two guards are about to enter through the right door. To exit, climb up the boxes in the middle and hop out through the broken skylight to the roof. By GrantHeaslip February 9, 2013 9 Comments Last year, I played Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, and to put to lightly, wasn’t impressed.Without the 2007 shock value of its visuals, what was left was a second-rate cover-based shooter with some severe pacing issues and a tendency to leave the player without a clear idea of … Instead, simply run along the main path, sticking to the left side whenever the path seemingly branches.
